Record and transcribe Google Voice calls — on your computer.

Google Voice only records incoming calls, and only when you press 4. ActiveLens captures every call you take in Google Voice on your computer, in and out, and turns it into a summary, tasks and follow-ups.

    How it works

Install ActiveLens on your computer. It recognises when a Google Voice call starts and ends on its own. Nothing to connect, and no integration with Google Voice.

Calls on the Google Voice mobile app aren't captured. Calls in Google Voice on your computer are.

What is waiting when you hang up

    • A full transcript, searchable across every call and meeting
    • A summary of what was discussed, decided and promised
    • Tasks created from the commitments made on the call, assigned to a real owner
    • A follow-up email drafted from what was actually said
    • Your CRM updated, automatically or after you review it

On your computer: nothing to connect

Google Voice in your browser or desktop app is a softphone. ActiveLens captures it on the computer itself, the same way it captures any dialer — no bot, no integration, nothing for the other side to admit.

    How everyone else does it

An integration per platform — and on a phone line there is nothing for a bot to join, so there is no path in at all.

    How ActiveLens does it

One capture point. No bot, and no integration on any softphone.

Capture happens on the device, not inside the meeting platform. That is the whole difference.

On a desk phone: the ActiveLens device

If your team takes Google Voice calls on a desk phone, the small ActiveLens device sits between the handset and the phone and passes the call audio to the computer. Pick up the handset and recording starts on its own.

    How the device connects

    1. 1The handset's cord plugs into the ActiveLens device instead of the phone.
    2. 2The device plugs into the desk phone's handset jack, so the call's audio passes through it.
    3. 3A USB cable connects the device to your computer.
    4. 4Pick up the handset and the ActiveLens bubble starts recording on its own.
    5. 5The call is saved securely in the cloud and the automations run: summary, tasks, follow-ups and CRM update.

    What you get

From the call to finished work.

Every Google Voice call you capture gets the same treatment as any other: Call Intelligence while and after you talk, Ask Anything across your calls, and an Active Board with the follow-ups drafted.

Three Call Intelligence tabs for a Medicare call: Chapters with timed sections and key points, Dynamics with talk share, a timeline and interaction stats, and Sales with BANT and MEDDIC criteria scored from quotes.

The call broken into chapters, who spoke and for how long, and qualification scored from what was actually said.

    About recording consent

Call-recording law varies by country and by state, and some jurisdictions require the consent of every party. You are responsible for obtaining consent and complying with the law where you and the people you call are located. ActiveLens is built for businesses recording their own conversations with disclosure — not for recording people without their knowledge.
