    Outlook Calendar + ActiveLens

The next meeting, booked before you've hung up the phone.

When a follow-up meeting is agreed on the call, ActiveLens finds a slot that's free for everyone, writes the subject and agenda, and sends the invitation from your own calendar.

    What happens after every call

Free time from the calendars you choose

ActiveLens reads free and busy times from the Outlook calendars you pick, and from your guests' calendars where you can see them.

    Suggested times

Open slots inside your working hours are suggested for the range you pick, such as this week or next week. Slots marked Works for everyone fit every guest.

Title and agenda written from the call

The meeting title and agenda come from what was said: what will be covered, the concerns raised, the paperwork needed. Edit them before you book.

Invitation sent from your account after you confirm

Press Book Meeting and the event is created in your Outlook calendar and the invitation goes to your guests. Work and school accounts get a Teams link when the organization allows it.

    How we protect your data
    • Nothing is booked until you press Book Meeting. You can change the time, guests, title and agenda first.
    • ActiveLens reads free and busy times, your calendar list and your mailbox time zone, and creates the events you book. It does not read your email.
    • You decide which calendars count toward your availability and which one new meetings go into.
    • Disconnect Microsoft any time from ActiveLens settings.

    Works with everything else

The follow-up email from the same call opens in Outlook with one click, and your team can sign in with Microsoft and be imported from Entra ID.

    Questions

Does ActiveLens send invitations without asking me?

No. ActiveLens suggests times and drafts the meeting. The event is created and the invitation sent only when you press Book Meeting.

Can it see my guests' availability?

Where their calendars are visible to you, yes. If someone's availability can't be checked, ActiveLens tells you, and their time shows as unknown.

Does it add a Teams link?

Yes, for Microsoft 365 work and school accounts whose organization allows Teams meetings. Personal Outlook.com accounts can't create Teams meetings, so the event is booked without one.

Can I book on a shared calendar?

Yes, if you have write access to it. You may need to reconnect Microsoft once to grant shared-calendar access.

What happens if my calendar isn't connected?

Booking opens Outlook's new-event page with the title, time, guests and agenda filled in, so you can send it from there.
